I agree that it's a simple manip but the diagonal composition works well.

Unlike you, I'm not too keen on the mane and tail. It's halfway there, but you've got too many lines where a simpler style would work better, and you're lacking highlights to show shapes. I'm also not keen on the glow around the horse because the manip is so simple.

Your cutting work is very tidy which is nice, and I like that you haven't overdone the shadow on the horse. Your treatment of the eye is also quite nice!
